'Palestinians: The "Country" Where Crime Is an Official Job
by Yves Mamou • August 7, 2016 at 5:30 am

"Whoever was imprisoned for five years or more is entitled to a job in a PA [Palestinian Authority] institution. Thus, the PA gives priority in job placement to people who were involved in terrorist activity." – Yigal Carmon, president of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), in testimony to the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs, July 6, 2016.

In 2016, not less than $300 million (between 7% and 10% of the budget) was allocated to prisoners, their families, and to "martyrs' families."

In June, an independent report commissioned by the Britain's Department for International Development concluded that by enabling the PA to pay salaries to terrorists, British aid to the PA had made anti-Israel terror "more likely." DFID dismissed the report.

Palestinian society is totally built and organized on the basis of "resistance". It is a society where jobs, fame and money go to people who are in, or who have spent years in, Israeli jails. There, legitimacy goes to people who are considered "martyrs." '

The Israelis and Palestinians are effectively at war.

The Palestiniam Martyrs fund is effectively a widows pension for those killed by the Israelis, or imprisoned.
I assume the families of dead Israelis are similarly looked after.

In terms of taxpayers money being spent, the Israelis get far more from the US and British tax payer, than the Palestinians.

Can you send this to our new prime minister and foreign office and our over seas aid MP please?
Sorry forgot to add.

With a note to stop all payments with immediate effect.
We don't give money directly, we do it through the EU, which we are leaving. Save your stamp.

// According to the Development Assistance Committee, the main multilateral donors for the 2006–2007 period were UNRWA and the EU (through the European Commission); the main bilateral donors were the US, Japan, Canada and five European countries (Norway, Germany, Sweden, Spain and France). Since 1993 the European Commission and the EU member-states combined have been by far the largest aid contributor to the Palestinians. //
The Gatestone Institute is a pretty notorious ultra-right, anti-Muslim, Neoconservative organisation.
Is the article accurate The Chair?
Order Limit,
There is a fund to help those Palestinians widowed in the Israeli/Palestian conflict.
There is blame on both sides. The US and EU support both Israel and the Palestians with tax payers money. Without that funding, both those shitholes' economies would collapse.
Yes, but a person imprisoned for 5 yrs or more entitled to a job in the Palestinian Authority, is that good?
As I say, it is a war. The people being given jobs are prisoners of war.

Most people would have supported Prisoners of War returning from Germany after the war, being given employment. People would want our soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan being supported with a good pension and help getting work.

The article regards all Palestinians as murders, but the Palestinians regard those captured fighting the IDF as national heroes. What they are depends on which side you are on.
"Without that funding, both those shitholes' economies would collapse. "

youre a mug..israel is hardly a *** economy, even without the extras from abroad..
