The Tories changed leader in less than a fortnight, why is Labour stretching this out? Just makes them look more and more ridiculous. It's not as if they have any sort of chance of power anyway.

Probably a stitch up to make sure a Brexiter was not leader.
The Labour result is a foregone conclusion and a total waste of everyones time. But it is democracy rather than the sham non-contest the Tories had.

Foregone conclusion? Really? It is odd that there was a spike in Labour Party new memberships right after Jezza's King Knut episode(when more than two thirds of his MP's had no confidence in him). If he's unconcerned then why is the Labour Party appealing the decision to allow new members the vote?

This is sensible. Or as sensible as it's likely to get. Not allowing previously registered supporters to vote while allowing new ones was a hopeless fudge.
Allowing anyone at all to vote though who has not been a member of the party for a certain amount of time tho is ridiculous, but that stable door has closed far too late. And it can always be opened again
There is tho no hurry to elect a labour leader. There is no comparison with the Tories who needed to appoint a PM quickly and were able to bundle their own incompetent candidate swiftly into touch, for which credit is due
