What an avoidable tragedy. By the way, the Yorkie is a double for Little Willy.

Shocking and so sad and preventable in this case.

Sorry guys...cocked up the title.
The dam things should be put down, Ya Ya Ya some may say, tell that to the victim & their familys.
It's an odd story. The police impounded the dog and then released it. I am sure that there is more to that story.

For a dog to kill an adult male is unusual, but the power of dogs is usually appreciated until something like this happens.

Even Wee Willy is related to a Wolf.

Duh...

man handed victim a knife and he didnt kill it...
neither did the police - being boarded at present
I am surprised that, when the police released the dog back into its owner's custody, there was not a stipulation that it should be muzzled in public. A simple precaution.
It certainly was avoidable.

Plod should have tazered the damn thing.

YMB...there is no evidence that the Police were present at the time the death took place, otherwise I am sure they would happily have got their Tasers out.

The mistake was made in releasing the dog in the first place. If the Police had not given the bloody animal back to its owner, that poor chap would still be alive. The Police had better explain this.
Poor man, a horrid way to die. I love dogs, but some people just shouldn't be allowed to own them. Impossible to police though.

Jammy....not impossible in this case though, was it ?

As I have said, if the Police had acted decisively, this poor man would still be alive.
It came from stories yesterday Mickey.

And yes I agree, the authorities do have a lot of explaining to do.
Impossible to police all the thugs and morons out there who think it's ok to own a dog and raise it as vicious and also backstreet breeders who frequently breed and sell on this type of dog.
mikey - //As I have said, if the Police had acted decisively, this poor man would still be alive. //

The difficulty for the police is - if the dog is not a banned breed, they cannot keep it or prevent its owner from having it.

I am sure he will have said something like 'He's never acted that way before, he is soft as a brush ...'

Apparently not!
