/////I am not interested in a mobility scooter, as I am quite happy at home, with my computer, TV, see my daughter & grandson, friends who pop in for a chat, and most of my shopping I can do on-line.
I am also not interested in joining any Day Centres, or clubs to chat about the old times over a cup of coffee etc :-). ////////

As above but see my sista and cousin and have started to go to church now - one of my friends who does all the above just can't understand why I do not go to them - I have told her I don't want to look at clones of myself. LOL

Different strokes for different folks JJ, we do what suits us.

I think the scooter was mentioned during a discussion on the possibility of a Motability Car - so at the time was a relevant subject to broach.

I know it was Mamy - re motor or scooter - have read the post but was glad to read that there are many like myself truly not interested in all these clubs - maybe another day.
Exactly, they don't suit everyone - we are all individuals.
yeah I find mine a godsend

someone else drives so he finds it a godsend too

I dont think I will ever be old enough for a day centre
along with the BB I save an absolute bomb in running costs

in case anyone wonders how it works
Motility scheme being a charity saves on the 20% VAT road users usually pay thro indirect taxes in order to put a car on the road. This frees up enough cash to run the scheme and pay a surplus to them
