Diane Abbott Blasts Brexit Voters As Racist
//Ms Abbott, as well as dismissing millions of voters as racist, was criticised for ignoring the British public’s legitimate concerns about migration both before and after this summer’s EU referendum. //
She and Jeremy Corbyn make a fine pair. Neither of them get it.

/// Well at least she's not afraid to tell it how she sees it. Or something. ///
Pity that the majority in the UK are afraid to "tell it how it is", without them being labelled Racist, Xenophobic, or any other such labels, that those similar to Abbott bander about frequently in their quest to stifle free speech and democracy.

'Telling it like it is ... ' is all very laudable, but it does require the premise that what you are 'telling' is actually correct.
In this case, Ms Abbott is not correct, so her 'telling it like it is ...' actually means that she is 'telling it like it isn't'!

Not necessarily.
It is possible to be stating something that is untrue, while believing it to be true, which means that what you are saying is not true, but you are not a liar for saying it.
To lie, you must know that what you are saying is untrue - I think Ms. Abbott is so set in her dubious views about racism that she believes what she says to be true, even though it is patently not true.
Tune in next week and discuss Dianne Abbott's assertion that the earth is, in fact, flat.

Ms Abbot is an obnoxious deluded hypocrite. The likes of her should never be in any sort of power.
Both her and Jezza are living in cloud cuckoo land and thus consigning labour to the wilderness for the foreseeable future which will ultimately be detrimental to the country.
What a price to pay for a single minded and blinkered view on an ideology.

It is not often that I agree wholeheartedly with one of your posts, but on this occasion, I have to concur with your view - and it's a tragedy for British politics that no credible opposition is even close to coming back.

More complaining of the opposition for the sake of it.
Under Blair a left wing party swung wildly right. It's hardly surprising that when a change comes the reaction is to go almost as far left as it was previously right. The pendulum will swing back and forth until a satisfactory balance returns and there is a party with a different outlook to give a good option to the Conservative party. (Hopefully the pendulum has a lot of damping.)
But if one is honest, even in Corbyn got in now, a leader's aims are a different thing to what they can actually get through parliament. Any extreme ideas wouldn't make much progress. Especially given the present abundance of right leaning Labour MPs who always seem to oppose their leader.

Andy-hughes, you are right that she did say ‘foreign looking’ and not ‘foreigners’ as I interpreted her to mean. Even so, I would have thought that most people judge how many foreigners are living in their area by how many foreign-looking people they see out and about. I can’t abide the woman btw, but I am just saying that she hasn’t to me said anything that isn’t true; a lot of people who voted to leave would prefer to see fewer foreign-looking people in their area.
