For me, at the moment, Michael Portillo (I’ve been watching his continental rail journeys and he strikes me as a man of culture), or the BBC’s security correspondent, Frank Gardner (so interesting and I love his voice - but I’d be fighting agchristie for him).
Either Amanda Lamb to discuss selling your soul for something as naff and uninteresting as wallpaper or Kirstie and Lispin' Phil, just to find out what dirt they have on the production company that they keep getting paid to do the same thing with a different title. My wife gets the TV remote. :)
Believe it or not (besides the obvious, Susanna Reid) I've always had a thing for Caroline Wyatt, who very sadly was diagnosed with MS earlier this year, bless her, ironically on my birthday. Intelligent, well - travelled and listed sitting at home with a bottle of red as one of her favourite pastimes.
Naomi, I wonder if FG had us in mind when titling his latest book!!
My alternative choice is Jeremy Paxman as I would like to discover his off-screen persona i.e is he like a dog with a bone?
Michael Portillo comes across completely different in personality than when he was an MP.His suave, easy style is quite warming when you see him doing his choo-choo progs and even when he is talking politics with Andrew Neil (we won't discuss that Abbot woman though!! o:)
ag, yes, I'll add Jeremy Paxman to my list - and if he's like a dog with a bone, bring it on! (Although I'd probably agree with him - so a boneless meal).
