Whatever was going on, it wasn't day release. We don't know how long they met for, why they met, nor what happened.

Parole after 5 months of a 20 year plus sentence?
I really can't comprehend what is happening in this story ... shocking.

That is a generic sort of statement indicating that there are a whole raft of reasons for them to be outside their cells.

Being handcuffed to separate officers and transported in separate vans does not lead me to believe it was any sort of 'personal' meeting.

There are council offices and government buildings in that area as well as a law firm.

Not for jollies, Talbot. In fact reading the report there was only one person who saw them, no CCTV footage or pics, and no confirmation from the authorities, just a general statement.

It may not be true.

The authorities are never going to identify those boys. And rightly so

If the meeting was solely so they could meet it, it would not have happened in a public place. Far easier, and safer for them, to take one to the other's prison
