Thinking of re-treading the path of Labour leadership perhaps by stepping into Jeremy Corbyn's shoes - and if he did, would that be a positive step for Labour?

Maybe he is going to start his own party i.e Charlatans.
If it results / resulted in a credible opposition, then yes. But I strongly suspect it won't / wouldn't.
It would mean a choice for Labour between being strangled or poisoned.
Perhaps Blair could lead a new party positioned between the Tories and Labour. It might be a refuge for Labour MPs, the remnants of the Liberals and the odd Pro Europe Tory.

I can't see him making a successful comeback. Not now that we've all seen behind the curtain and we know him to be what he actually is rather than the phoney-Tony projection he would like us to believe.
it would be terrible for Labour, that is why it gets my whole hearted support, come back Tony, we love you, Honest!
Realsing that you are no longer wanted or needed is never the default position of a politician, especially one that has held power.

Mrs Thatcher didn't realise, neither did Ed Milliband, or David Cameron, but they were in, and being pushed out.

Hopefully Mr Blair can be stopped indulging in his fantasy that his party and his country either need or want him - neither of them do.
Well Tezza can make him an EU commissioner!
He plainly is not coming back to lead the Labour Party. That is simply not going to happen. There's more chance of Iain Duncan Smith returning to lead the Tories :-)

where the same interview is mentioned. That was why I asked the question, because it's what he says about the main parties that is more interesting than
anything he himself might do.
He's frustrated with the current state of the parties as are many people. If you are pro Europe, free trade and not a Marxist there's not much for you :-)
stop it ich, mikey was getting all excited then, it'd be like 1997 all over again, happy days!
Does anyone on here (apart from mikey) support Labour ?
the valued gift that keeps on giving ....

bedded in, well rewarded, they just cant give up
"Does anyone on here (apart from mikey) support Labour ? " - most are a bit coy about that but respect to me old china, mikey, he does at least stand by his beliefs when the going gets tough. Gromit claims not to but I think he has a soft spot for "New" Labour!
90% of the anti-Corbyn/anti-Labour stuff posted on here is nonsense, and I cannot help myself pointing that out when the posts are published. That does not mean I support Labour, it just means I object to being lied to. The same with the EU. I am ambivolent about it, but when utter tosh is presented as fact, I feel I have to try and give the truth.

I could never support or vote for the Labour Party in its current state. Because it is pulling in different ways, the MPs one way, the members in another, what it actually does, does not make sense.
I was always a Labour voter, but will never vote for Corbyn, cannot stand the man.
Blaire refused to intervene in the referendum debate, declaring (if I remember rightly) that he was 'toxic'- I can't see what has changed. Labour is in enough trouble; Blair touting for power would finish-off the party.
Now this is damn funny, how about just being blunt and call it the Tony B.Liar Party
