I agree with TTT she should be apologising on behalf of the French, the Jungle migrants are their responsibility, not ours.

The whole 'Jungle Scenario' is the fault of the French who simply lacked the cojones to stop it happening in the first place.
Now there're trying to pass some of the responsibility to the UK based purely upon the reasoning that as the UK is where these Economic Migrants want to get to, it must be our fault.
It seems to be part of their culture to deny responsibility.

But it sounds like another show biz character proving they have little ability to think things through and so sound off from the heart rather than the head.

Clearly she is no appointed ambassador from her country, so has no right to pretend that she can speak for it. She has every right to indicate she is unable to comprehend the issue, herself.

Do you really think that Lily Allen is 'living-off-her-father's-name-and-reputation? I think you'll find - and it's mentioned often by Keith Allen in interviews - that she is far more famous and well-known than he is!

I think she probably got carried away with the emotion of the moment, and didn't really consider her words in advance.

But that is something you absolutely need to do if you are a celebrity, and a camera and a microphone are within fifty feet of you.

The kind of over-emotional statement that any of us might make and have ignored, is not permissible for wealthy pop stars who are speaking without thinking, and making 'apologies' that have no moral merit whatsoever.
