Fascinating reading , especially if you click on the link to who and how.

He's entitled to a fair trial the same as anyone, bet it won't be a short one either.

None whatsoever.
He can`t be very clever - he made £28m but still lives in a dump like Hounslow.
The assets were frozen very quickly, doubt he's in a position to nip out and buy a nice house somewhere else.

Possibly stayed living with parents due to his Aspergers.

It will be a very interesting trial, am sure I wouldn't understand the half of it.

Why does he need our sympathy, he has not been convicted of any offence?
Are you assuming he won't get a fair trial?

Are there a lot then?, don't follow hackers or cycling come to that.

Interesting, not that there's a link between Aspergers and Asthma but thanks for that info.

Well, as I say I haven't read up on many hackers but it wouldn't surprise me if this guy had Aspergers, often presents in being hugely talented with technology and things mathematical.

Hence not an excuse of sorts more an explanation why he was so darn good at it.

Not a good enough reason agreed.
Don't see much hope of a conviction if this quote from the BBC is correct!
'Mr Sarao's barrister James Lewis has previously attacked those claims, arguing that he could not, as the FBI allege, have "materially contributed" to the flash crash of 2010.
Instead he alleges that the flash crash happened because of a giant sell order placed by a US hedge fund called Waddell & Read, a conclusion previously reached by the US regulator, the Commodities & Futures Trading Commission.'
I agree with Gromit's view - this man has not been charged with anything, much less convicted and sentenced.

TTT - Why do you persist in using your unpleasant rhyming slang to describe Americans?
andy-hughes, //this man has not been charged with anything//

From the article:

//He is accused of market manipulation ....He denies 22 charges//
I stand corrected.
