I suppose his poor Mother can at least now accept that her Ben is dead. After all these years, it can't be much of a consolation, but its likely to be the only consolation that will be forthcoming. RIP Ben.

what would you call it, andy? The reason "closure" has entered the language is because there previously wasn't a word precisely expressing the feeling of relief (but without pleasure) that an ordeal is finally over.... and even I am probably not expressing it very well.

Given the time his poor family has had to live with this, I'm not sure they'll ever quite get over it. But "closure" they will have.

Unless I missed it, the article doesn't mention clothing. It says an item that had been in his possession when he went missing has been found. It was said that previously that his grandfather (I think it was it grandfather) had taken him to the site so could it be just an abandoned toy? The case remains open so this can't be considered to be conclusive. Impossible to even imagine what his poor mum has been through.

I don't have a suitable word, but I confess that personally, I find the term 'closure' to be trite and clichéd, but that is simply my personal view.

I've just read Togo's link and that poor family are in a terrible state, they want his body; knowing he died isn't enough and I'd be the same.
