Definition Of 'artists Impression' On A Website
I've just got back from holiday. When we booked our room we chose a jacuzzi suite as apart from space it also shows an outside private patio that you step out onto from the lounge which has on it a table/chairs, two sunloungers and a little table between them, and some shrubbery. This was perfect from me as I've been struggling with IBS very badly for some months and I knew that if I was having a bad day then I could still lay in sun and read etc without having to be by pool and panicking about finding a bathroom. So imagine my shock when we get there to find there is no patio with loungers , shrubbery etc but a teeny balcony with just enough room for a round plastic table and two chairs (the rest of the room layout was correct). I went and found a rep and spoke to him and he was baffled as not only had the rooms been completed over two years ago, but none of them whatsoever have loungers etc. Was told to email travel company when I got home which I have done. But I've also rang them and the operators reply is that the website says artists impression, and isn't a photo. And my argument is that artists impression is meant to be a close interpretation of the finished product and not show areas that are four times the size they really are and showing items of furniture that don't exist i.e. The loungers. And why keep the room image on the website when they could just show an actual photo? Your thoughts?

bit of a llongish post
did ja or didja not enjoy yourself ?
you enjoyed yourself but enjoy a bit of a moan afterwards ?
anyway the company made statements ( arteests impression ) which induced you to conclude a contract and were misleading
so you have an action under the rarely used Misrepresentation Act 1967
rarely used as it allows you to roll back the contract but not change the terms - to succedd under that you would have had to abandon the holiday
hence did ja enjoy yourself ?
it sounds as tho you toiled on with true british grit .....
as for - getting a bit off the bill
I am not sure
as for getting them to stop misleading other punters
try trading standards and mention that you have exhausted local remedies ( official for 'contacted them and hey didnt give a toss' )
