V E, I don't agree with the theory. As a keen photographer with 12 grandchildren I have been accused of being a 'pervert' just for taking pictures of my grandchildren playing in a local park. A woman said I must be a 'pervert' as I was using a large SLR camera with a telephoto lens.( the same set up a news photographer would use) she threatened to call the police and report me.

Eddie, I agree totally with your point about privacy, photos and pervs. But in its right context. But you, Vulcan and I know that in THIS context the blankets are there not to protect vulnerable children, but to cover up deceipt about the definition of "child migrant".

What utter rot! The only reason we’re not seeing pictures of these ‘children’ is because they’re not ‘children’. If they were the media would be full of pictures of them. Google ’children Calais images’. No shortage of newspaper pictures of children in Calais there. Stop taking people here for fools. Most of them are very clearly not!

The screens have only been erected for the newest arrivals who are being brought to the UK under the 'Dubbs Amendment' that allows children up to age 13 to be admitted as being 'Especially Vulnerable'. There are photos of the earlier arrivals whose age is in question , but no photos of this latest group are being allowed. I mentioned the 'anti peadophile' excuse as that has been used before to ban pictures of children.

Interesting stats. Is that statistic that only 1% are women authenticated in any official records? And since the figures add up to 95% yet none have ID it would be interesting to know how the countries of origin have been determined
