Not to say that Jill Stein can't win, but the dynamics of elections and football matches are rather far apart to say that she should draw any meaningful confidence from the success of Leicester.
And anyway, what momentum she does gain now is likely to be too little, too late. Current polling averages have her at 2% nationally, so she could add as many voters again every day for the next fortnight and still be nowhere near winning. And polls, while they have their uncertainties, are not going to be *that* uncertain in the average.
Still, you can tell yourself that Jill Stein has a realistic chance of winning if it gives you any comfort.

One problem with the idea that people might go for a "third candidate" is that there are a few to choose from.
Another problem is that I doubt if significant numbers of voters are that peed off with both the main candidates that they are likely to go voting for the "What's a leppo" party etc
That link is Jill Stein's own party website, so naturally they are going to be upbeat about her chances.

Depends on how the votes are distributed. It may be that the college *does* come to benefit Stein, if her support were concentrated into just a few states.
But there's simply no reason whatsoever to expect this. It's not that I have anything in particular against Jill Stein, and a lot of what is outlined in the first paragraph of your link I basically agree with, especially the line that "Millions of voters have figured out that the two major parties don't represent them... It's not a two-party system, it's a two-party racket."
All the same, Jill Stein ain't the one to break this duopoly on power the two main US parties have. The closest the US ever came to this was in 1992 -- an opportunity missed, although whether Ross Perot would have been worth taking a chance on we'll never know.
Anyhow, even if Jill Stein did win she'd have a hell of a job getting anything done -- Congress would block exactly 100% of what she wanted to introduce, and I wouldn't be totally surprised if the Supreme Court blocked the rest.

Actually, if you ignore the mainstream, Hillary-supporting Press ...
Jill could have more grass roots support than Hillary!
Which puts her second, with a couple of weeks to go.
