Post Mortem - For The Establishment?
32 Answers
Obviously the Democrats will have a post mortem but does this not show the whole establisment needs one? On both sides of the pond. Michael Moore the US left winger and Clinton Supporter correctly predicted this and labelled it the biggest FU in History, and yes it feels good. This and brexit surely must point to the fact that the people have seen enough of their liberal BS. Instead of trying to look at the issue the lefties predictably start calling the US electorate their silly names. Wake up!

He wasn't the candidate his own party hierarchy wanted, and he didn't get the nomination in the right way. Other than purge his enemies in his own party, there isn't much he can do to counter the military industrial complex that has run America for decades.
Ymb,
Clinton was clearly the wrong Democrat candidate, and again it was a dynasty that was behind her nomination. So the democrats will have to learn.
The military industrial complex that Eisenhower warned about, which controls the US economy are the main Establishment, but President Trump will find it impossible to remove them, assuming he wants to.

Throughout my lifetime I have watched while the civilised countries have been infested with people from the not so civilised countries, or money sent abroad to be spent on lost causes.
I developed my opinions in my early teens, and these have not changed. In fact, things constantly happen to reinforce them. (Awaits cries of “racist” & “Xenophobe” - meh!)
I hope that with the election of Mr. Trump we will finally see the start of things being reversed, and I hope that also happens during my lifetime.
I firmly believe that every country, whether wealthy or poor, should put the needs and welfare of it’s own citizens first.
It looks as if all the ‘nasty’ things Mr. Trump said about Mexicans and Muslims weren’t quite so nasty after all, as far as the American people are concerned.
I’ll have to come back to this later: I have spent far too much time watching TV and looking in on AB today!

Ivor...that was uncalled for.
Dougie has every right to voice his opinions on AB, without being called an imbecile.
But Trump has said all things that he is being criticised for saying, time and time again. You might agree with him, and that is your privilege, but others are allowed to have different views.
I think Dougie is owed an apology.
