Samer Majzoub, president of the Canadian Muslim Forum, (Majzoub is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood) has responded by saying, "Now that Islamophobia has been condemned, this is not the end, but rather the beginning."
What exactly are they condemning? Criticism of Islam? Criticism of Muslims? Debating Mohammed? Depicting Mohammed? Discussing whether ISIS is a true manifestation of Islam? Is any Canadian who now writes critically of Islam or disagrees with the petitioners that ISIS "does not reflect in any way the values or the teachings of the religion of Islam" now to be considered an "Islamophobe"?
Unchecked, how long before this attitude spreads south to the US, and Europe too?

Even if the terrorist was caught with blood on their hands just like Lee Rigby's killer, some would still not believe them guilty, until they had been charged, gone to court and finally found guilty. //
That is an inflammatory and derogatory observation, and it has no basis in anything discussed on here.
Belief in due process, and the right to a fair trail is the cornerstone of the justice system that protects all of us, and I am with pixie on this, you cannot start treating people as being guilty because you suspect them of being guilty.
"I thought he was going to hit me, so I hit him first ..." never was a defence in law - and it's not a defence here.
If you think that anyone on here would suggest for a moment that Lee Rigby's killers were not guilty, the ask them to come on here and say so - but you might have to wait a while ... like forever.

Islamophobia is not confined to America, as we have our own version of it over here.
As I have said on another thread, almost all the daft and stupid things that Trump said he would do before the Election, are now not going to happen, as the intelligent members of his future Government will tell him that they are either unconstitutional, illegal or just plain impossible.
His target audience in the campaign were semi or uneducated white American men. He told them what they wanted to hear, but forgot to tell them that he was lying through his teeth....in other words, he lied his way to the White House.

Trump is a good actor. He knew that convincing a huge mass of of people that could only be done by lowering himself to their levels. And his act worked! They bit the bait and that's all she wrote.
There will certainly be no wall for the Mexicans, no "Open day" on Muslims etc..
However it looks like there will be a 45 percent tariff on imports from China which must be worrying for the Chinese.

Khandro....a large part in his popularity was due to him making promises that he now cannot keep.
I am condemning him for that, as he would or should have know that during the campaign. You can't put the blame entirely on the shoulders of his followers, as most of them lacked the intellect to work that out for themselves.
They were led by false promises and downright lies.
