Andrew is a Prince, that makes his daughters Princesses, why shouldn't they live in Kensington Palace?

If they are paying their way fair enough but the Yorks seem to want the privileges whilst enjoying freebie holidays, then Fergie puts not just a toe but her whole foot in it trying to make deals with a fake sheik to meet the Royal Duke Andrew, the fact remains had he not been been a fake sheik she would have got away with it. She has a nerve trying to sue for that.
I read Charles is downsizing the Royal family appearances Andrew is miffed because his Princesses have no Royal protection, and little to do. Beatrice needs to find a job.

The older generation were taught not to question their betters and to always show respect to the royal family.
The younger generation either question what is the point of them ?
Or find them entertaining via scandals etc in the press, true or made up.
Personally I think we should find a different mascot for the uk.

PeterP, I was told on a similar thread to this a while ago that Zara and Peter were not automatically entitled; the titles have to come from the male line. I don't know if that is true, and I can't remember who posted it.

I think Bea and Eug should take a few jobs from the queen and give her a bit of a rest, but who'd want to meet those two?

Not every prince begets a prince (Baldric) they have to be sons of the sovereign - and not every grandchild ( of the sovereign) gets one. Geroge V who was not a great friend of the Tsar - he thought he had brought it on himself - also thought in Russia there were too many princes and grand dukes screwing actresses and limited the proliferation of the title in the UK.

I still think led gurlz ( eugenie and beatrice ) should get out and work

the wiki neglects to say the Queen is the font of all titles and can style her kids and their offspring as she wishes. ( Jowett's opinion 1952) At the time the font of all truth ( Daily Mail in case no one recognised it ) said that R Andy had secured titles for the daughters whereas Anne who was offered said no.



Those who need surnames should use Mountbatten Windsor but so far everyone has used Windsor ( Freddy Windsor etc )


Jowett as a QC gave ( for moolah ) an opinion to the Duke of Windsor that after he abdicated he went back to what he was - a prince of the realm and as such his wife should be .... HRH
then when he became Lord Chancellor (!) the Duke came knocking .....

Although the rules were laid down by George V in 1917 they can be varied. At their births both Prince Charles and Princess Anne were not entitled to royal status but George VI varied this. The same happened when Prince William got married; under the rules only his eldest son would be styled prince but the Queen changed this to include all his children.
