Trump has been ridiculed and criticised for his promise to build a wall on the Mexico border, but would it makes sense for Europe to build one on the Turkish border?

i have told you before that ladder technology will more than keep pace with wall building tech.
yes, just watch The Great Escape (I'm sure it will be on telly sometime over Christmas). There are fences along the border already

'but would it makes sense for Europe to build one on the Turkish border? '

Can you re-read that to yourself and spot a) the irony of the word 'sense' combined with b) the obvious geographical error?
ah Jno, shovel tech, not to be under estimated.

Another huge and predictable mess the EU finds itself in. Thank god for Brexit.

Being what? Turkey has a land border with Europe, albeit a relatively small one. It should be fairly inexpensive to build a wall along that. The coastguards in Greece will need to be super vigilant though.

Ah yes the simple ladder, why didn't I think of that, come to think about it, why don't all the prisoners in HMPs think about it?
A 'wall' can be many things, it could be a naval blockade, which I have been advocating for the past couple of years.
And do you think Turkey (which, despite all the smoke and mirrors) would let a wall be built on their border?
Ladder access is heavily restricted in prisons.
If it's not on their land I can't see them having a choice.
Apophthegm? Who ate a dictionary for breakfast?
Oh yes of course, a European task force turns up with 4 billion breezeblocks (rough calc, you understand, before you start taking it as a fact) and start building a wall, and the Turkish border forces say 'Ok lads, just crack on'.

Is this the same head-in-the-sand logic you applied to voting Brexit?
The only connections by land from Turkey into the EU is via Bulgaria and Greece, and both of these have been sealed, that's why they come by sea.
Zacs-Master, I never use head in the sand logic - and I didn't when voting for Brexit. With regard to the wall, I simply responded to your 'geographical error' comment with a little flippancy, which is why I added the comment about the Greek coastguard.
Khandro, are the land borders sealed? I didn't know that.

Oh so Turkey wouldn't allow Bulgaria to build a wall on their own land then?

Yes it has always proven difficult to get across 'no man's land'.
