what's all this bull about majority vote - the US system doesn't work like that, so it's irrelevant....just as you can get a government here on a smaller percentage share of the vote than the lead party.

Here we have a FPTP system, and the Party with the biggest vote, wins. If its uncertain, Betty calls either the sitting MP, or the Leader of the largest Party ( in terms of vote) for Afternoon Tea at Buck House, and asks if they can form a Government.

The last time that happened, in 2010, Gordon couldn't, Dave could, with the aid of a few brown-nosing LibDems and we ended up with a so-called "Coalition" Government.

They have nothing like this in America.

TTT...if you had bothered to read up on my Views of Betty, you will see that I am a great fan of her, especially considering the wax works that comprises the rest of her family. She has shown herself to be a wonderful politician.

If she would like to put herself up for President, I can guarantee her my vote.

But I have zero respect for the office of an non-elected Head of State. I am a republican, and proud to be so.
