It's a fairly important job that requires a lot of tweeting. It's probably right that he gives it his full attention.

would you rather he did not concentrate on the day job mikey?

TTT.....No....ludwig is correct.

But I would prefer Trump to stop opening his mouth, diving in with both feet, and then face the humiliating job of climbing back out again.
It is just a precaution.
If he stops doing business, he will no longer face the risk of being sued for fraud.
Pity labour dont do a bit of u-turning. They might stand a chance of getting some seats in an election then.
The real u turn that Trump needs to make is on the disastrous protectionism policies that will ruin the US economy.
And why will they be disastrous?

Depends on whose viewpoint you are looking from I suppose.

It would have been nigh-on impossible for Trump to be the President, and continue to run his business empire at the same time. But he should have realised that before he made a fool of himself again.
Because trying to impose tariffs to save certain industries just doesn't work. It's short term populist Elastoplast. I'm no economist but you don't have to be to see it's a disaster waiting to happen
This is what worries me about Trump. He's a mass of contradictions and if there was a football crowd handy they'd be chanting 'You don't know what you're doing'

As president, Mr Trump will also technically be allowed to run his business.
The US has conflict of interest laws that specifically prevent government employees, such as the White House staff, from having these types of business ties, but they do not apply to the president or vice-president

All seems reasonable.

"Another change-of-mind from the U-turn kid !" Even worse and more importantly, back here in the UK Sadiq Khan appears to have broken a 4th election promise in just 6 months.
Trump won't 'leave business'. He has people to take care of his business interests.
just as a UK Prime Minister has to do so.....now, for abuse, let's look at the Blair Foundation and the Cheryl add ons, including the Flat Bristols??
