Local residents and the business owner have slammed police, accusing them of treating the workers "like terrorists."

The clue is in the artical it was suspected that as well as illegal workers there were 'guns and drugs' on the premises. In view of that it had to be a full armed response.

If Immigration inspectors, and unarmed police had walked in to check, and were shot, there would be an outcry of WHY did they go in unarmed, you cant win?

With a tip off claiming guns were inside (regardless of whether they were) it is doubtful unarmed Police/Officials would have been sent in.

There's a chance that when the local residents saw this unfolding they didn't know what the tip off information was.

Hence they've spoken out without knowing the facts - always a risk.
