This is almost not news, mikey, sadly. It is right that you raise it of course. Was it not interesting to see that IS had recaptured Palmyra, in the midst of all this. Russians and Syrians alike fled when faced with actual fighters rather than defenceless women and children. One wonders how, if left to their own devices, the Syrian army would cope with trying to...

This is no evidence that i know of that children have been used as fighters in Aleppo. Or indeed in any areas other than IS occupied ones
Been on the front line in Aleppo Ich ?

I do get your point but it is not beyond the realms of possibility is it?
It isn't ymb but do you really think that that is the reason they are killing them?
Who believes that, really
I'm not convinced any of the reports from any side are correct. Propaganda is usually prevalent on all sides during a war. That is why I said we would have to wait and see when the dust has settled.

Chaps....children, as well as everybody else, are being killed indiscriminately at the moment...lets stay on topic here.
Question Author
ymb...the UN has no reason to lie here.

As I have already pointed out, even if there is some doubt about what is happening in Aleppo today, there is no doubt whatsoever that chemical weapons and barrel bombs have been used in Syria for years, so lets not waste time giving Putin and Assad the benefit of the doubt.

They are butchers. The only reason that Putin is active in Syria today, is because he needs a warm-weather port in the Med.

DB....Get off the fence....Do really think that Assad and Putin haven't been committing any atrocities in Syria ?

Yes or no ?
//the UN has no reason to lie here. //

no. but they are reliant on others for their "reports". others who do not have such reason.
There is no comparison WHATEVER between what is happening in Iraq - I assume you mean the assault on Mosul to dislodge IS and the crimes of the Russians and the Syrians in Syria. The only comparison is maybe with the actions of IS in that city. But I am not sure even that compares.

Question Author
Mush....I will ask you the same question that I asked DB above....yes or no ?
I have already pointed out that the UN and their representatives have already made assessments which are not necessarily favourable to the rebels. Their is no reason for them to lie

Andrew Mitchell has been told effectively by the Speaker that there can be another vote on intervention on Syria in the House.
Nonsense divebuddy. We connived with no one to make this 'mess' happen.
If your memory is defective you can always read up on the Syrian Civil War causes and history etc on Wikipedia
I'm not going to go over it all yet again here

Drivel DB, drivel !

"the UN children's agency cited a doctor as saying a building housing as many as 100 unaccompanied children was under heavy attack"

A Doctor note, not some distant bloke in a Pub.

The evidence is everywhere, so why don't you get off that bloody fence ?
//UN children's agency cited a doctor as saying //

he may or may not be a doctor. who knows? the "citing" is unattributed, and therefore hearsay evidence.
