No I think the thread is about outsiders ( or foreigners ) influencing elections - and so parallels would obviously have to draw on other elections which may have been rigged or not and could not refer to other Brexit elections as erm there havent been any ( but there could have been and I might have been asleep ) but thank you for reading it

He's an idiot. There's enough cause for concern without bringing up claims with no substance which people like you will of course jump on in a second
Looking forward to this one coming up as an option in future Political Science exams:

"Please circle the MAIN reason that the UK voted to Leave the European Union on June 23rd:

(a) dissatisfaction with the direction of the EU for increased political and economic integration at the potential expense of national sovereignty;
(b) High levels of immigration, among other factors, leading to a sense that the average native British citizen was treated less favourably than migrants;
(c) Loss of trust in the political elite at all levels, the referendum providing an ideal opportunity to express this;
(d) Russian hackers."

// Ben Bradshaw won the Stonewall Politician of the Year Award in 2009//

and the russians run THAT as well ?
wonders never cease - considering the law in russia is not that liberal
What a twit.
are "we" saying that russian hackers VOTED in the election or that they selectively leaked material that was damaging to Hillary C ?

Jack Kennedy reputedly telegrammed his father ( Joe )
" stop buying Dad - or there will be a landslide"
that was the election ( 1960) that there was also a slogan
'vote early and often'

The iranians who let out the american hostages in 1980 ( The film isnt that bad imo ) said they had elected the prez - and the outgoing Jimmie Carter tended to agree. But the one they elected was Ronald Reagan who wasnt kinda pro-Iranian

the Iranians also boasted that by selectively leaking ( made up) memos about the weapons of mass destruction they had achieved a major foreign policy goal ( overthrow Saddam Hussien ) with no loss to themselves what so ever.

so the idea has been around for some time
The thread's about Brexit PP.

//which people like you//

"You" meaning people with a sense of patriotism who wish to save the country from the evils of the EU?
People who think they have a monopoly on 'patriotism'

I don't think Peter spoke out of turn above.
The worry about the us election is not that it was actually rigged but that a hostile foreign power managed to hack into computer systems with malign intent and may actually have tried to interfere with voting machines (but failed)
Begging the question 'what next'
But Trump seems not to want to know. Odd, for a so-called patriot.
But you know what they say : global finance and its 'deals' is no respecter of national boundaries.
"Ben Bradshaw goes off the deep end and tells the Commons Russian hackers “probably” engaged in cyber-warfare to help Leave win the EU referendum, despite admitting “we don’t have any evidence for that”.

What an embarrassment but then we are talking about the Labour 'party' circus.
