Many have Naomi but the Isington brigade just cant see it because it clashes directly with their ideology.

We, the West, need to accept that the Middle East is a different place. Different rules and totally different view on life. The West is no utopia so really it is a bit hypocritical of us to try and change their way of life.

The bottom line is that although there are geographical countries really the populations are only patriotic to their particular religion even down to different factions of Islam. This is why dictators are needed, we should be able to see clearly the price of removing those dictators and attempting to impose democracy.

Leaving them alone is not the only answer, but as Gromit says dont poke them continually. We should watch them and be very wary of them since it is their stated aim to have a caliphate across Europe and, as TTT points out, death or conversion of the infidel; us that is.
YMB,
Yep.
yes some good points YMB, I do think that we in west find it hard to comprehend that they do not like democracy and often try to impose it on them, often meaning well but making a mess of it. I mainly agree that we should just leave them to get on with it but it's the underlying urge to slay the infidel that worries me.
'The middle East' is not some homogenous entity and furthermore it is not that far from home especially these days We can't leave it alone even if we wanted to. The current zeitgeist appears to be retrenchment . Apart from anything else, it is an impossibility. Arguably many of Syria's (for example ) rebels have been driven into the hands of and have become themselves radicals because of their perceived abandonment by the west
One reason IS has caught on in Syria is because of Alawite persecution of Sunnis. It's all very complicated

It is a long time since I read such cobblers as that.
it is true Gromit. Many of the locals welcomed IS as they were anti-Assad. Of course they are regretting it now.
It's very like in Afghanstan, where people initially welcomed the Taliban who appeared to be ridding them of corrupt local officals.
What if I turn your clock back to the time before we started invading Muslim countries and then ask you the same question? I am 99.9% sure you would have no idea if Islam or Muslims existed.

Fender, my brother, could you please tell those people who are always crying about immigrants that it is nothing new and it has always been the way it is now. Thanks.
Yes
Keyplus at 22:05, you're right. From a Muslim perspective it has always been the way it is now ..... but Islam's current infiltration of Europe hasn't always been the way it is now ..... and you know it.

And what do you believe the reason is behind this all?
keyplus, you tell me - and then I'll compare your answer to your previous comments on the subject.
