I read Watership Down, The Plague Dogs, Shardik, and Maia....they were all marvellous, but Shardick was by far the most "adult" of the lot.

I never really got on with The Girl in a Swing, despite have a couple of attempts at reading it.
I loved Watership Down, hated Plague Dogs because of the content. To be honest, I thought he was already dead. lb, it doesn't really matter how old people are when they die, someone, somewhere loves them and great age or not, will still mourn and miss them and the longer you have them in your life, the harder it is to let go.
