Pmqs: Jeremy Corbyn Claims Theresa May In Denial On Nhs
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -politi cs-3858 2285
I know Corbyn doesn't have many supporters of this mainly Tory AB, but I think he has got Mrs May on the run here.
If the Royal College of Nurses, the Royal College of Physicians, the BMA , and the Red Cross all say that we have a huge crisis, why won't she do something about the situation ?
She has so far refused to acknowledge that the Red Cross.are correct...is she in denial or is the NHS still safe in Tory hands ?

BRC provide some ambulance cover and help patients who are returning home from hospital. They are not providing any emergy or life saving work.
And they get paid by the NHS. So charitable donations that people are giving for real humanitarian crisis are being diverted so that BRC can make a buck by doing hospital contracts. That is the real scandal.

Such crisis as there is at the NHS is undoubtedly down to inaction by successive governments, so it's no good one side or the other pointing the finger. On the other hand isn't this "well it's the last lot's fault too" attitude part of the problem? The Tories are too busy explaining how 13 years of Labour government didn't fix things, at least not overall, to do anything about it themselves; and Labour aren't in power anyway currently. As and when they are again, here's hoping they accept their responsibility for the current mess and actually deal with it. In the meantime, maybe the Tories could do the same -- after all, the mess owes something too to the Thatcher/ Major years as well as the recent six-years when they could have done something about it, but have signally failed to do so.
the NHS could be saved by restructure, they have too much admin empire builders caused mainly by union dogma. Basically they are a state funded leviathan for jobs to create jobs, health care is not their primary function. It needs stripping out and restructuring. It has plenty of budget and plenty of chaff to clear out.
danny..........part of today's problem appears to be due to bed-blocking, as the Social are required for patients isn't in place. Local Council provide that and yet their budgets are being cut, so we could start by not making those cuts.
But whatever people may think of Corbyn, if all those organisations that I have mentioned above saying what they are saying, they can't all be wrong can they ?

I spent a couple of hours at my local Hospital this morning, having some chest Xrays, and I can't really fault the service that I had. Most of the time was spent
trying to find a parking place !
Its likely that I will have some more visits planned, as my GP has detected a heart murmur, so I shall be in a god position to judge how the NHS is coping these days.
Corbyn in PMQs mentioned the case of a young child being examined when lying of two chairs pushed together. In her defence, even Mrs May admitted that it was unacceptable. I didn't see that when I was at the Hospital today, but I did see that the big screens were apologising for 1 and 2 hour delays for certain clinics.
