It's no great surprise to me that he is pleading his innocence though it is his fundamental right to do so. Like the current Rolf Harris trial,I find it difficult that the juries in these cases can completely disregard past form. There have been many initiatives in the football world such as kicking out racism.Let's hope that a proper and thorough...
If so,I'm guessing that he feels passionately (reading his posts) that too many cases have been exposed well after the event and too many blind eyes turned,not just in sport but in other areas such as the church.I'm sure Mikey will expand on this.
Some people have morbid fascinations for mass murderers and in extreme cases,write to them in prison don't they?!
Jackdaw33 - I acknowledge that you find the subject a very difficult one to discuss. However, part of the reason this problem has gone unchecked is an unwillingness among football clubs and churches for example to deal head on with such issues at the time and brush it under the carpet.
There was a particularly distasteful and horrific incident discussed on here very recently which I would have found it extremely hard to join in with had I been a member but I understand why it was raised.
