I've just seen this report (apologies if it's already on AB, but I couldn't see it) - Eugene Cernan, the last man to walk on the moon has died.

He was another of our true exploration pioneers & his death so soon after that of John Glenn is sad news indeed.

another legend, so sad we abandoned the moon. Interesting point, he was the last man on the moon but he was not the last man to step onto the moon, that was Harrison Schmitt. Great quiz, gotcha, that one!
