You've lived this long, Mikey, and suddenly it hits you that politicians are two-faced, back-biting, loathsome creatures not worthy of a second look? :)
Andy....they have no choice but to accept him, but they can refrain from celebrating the fact if they choose to do so. Some have taken that decision but not enough to have the intended impact.
They could all announce that they will not be attending, despite not being invited in the first place, you know like the "performers" who have declined despite not being asked to. But were some of them not happy to "perform" for one of Putin's henchmen only recently, right in the democratic centre of the universe? Hypocrites..... Luvvies Meeeh.
Togo...I might have got this wrong, but.....the link says that 50 of the House Democrats are boycotting the ceremony, an event where they are automatically invited.
This has nothing to do with pop singers not attending.
They're behaving like a bunch of petulant twerps! It's not a celebration - it's an essential ceremony. Trump is the next president of the USA. Get on with it!
Luvvies and snowflakes are absolutely unimportant to the Donald, his priority is to see working families getting jobs and a fair deal, and not to have to see their sons (and now daughters) sent abroad to kill and be killed in parts of the world they have never heard of;
and mikey, as you are labour supporter, I'm constantly puzzled why you are continually carping on about him. Trump is going to be a much-needed breath of fresh air in US domestic and foreign policies.
