I think he deserves a chance to prove himself as a good leader and he may well do that. He's certainly a successful businessman.

I wish him well in his quest to make America great again. This in the main is due to the fact that my son now lives and works in the U.S.A.and is probably going to settle over there but also for the American people especially for those I have met and found,in the main, very charming and sincere.
He will certainly drain the swamp and make change.

Unity is a two way thing, The Donald can only do what he can. If his opponents refuse to play ball then it is them not Mr Trump who will look the fool.
Unity by its definition requires a collective, everyone pulling together. It has, I would argue, never been possible to achieve unity in a country as vast as the US.

DT is already playing catch up and he's not even in tbe hot seat.

Unity sounds good but it's rhetoric.
ummmm

/// Vortex - has your space bar broken? ///

Do you spend the whole of your time on here, just so that you can criticise others, with your sarcastic comments?
AOG....case of pots calling kettles black if ever I saw one !
I'm looking forward to a president that pledges to bring disunity and stagnation...

But anyway. He's in office very shortly and I guess it will indeed be interesting to see what that's like. His swamp draining hasn't exactly got off to a promising start, though.
JIm...he has promised his core voters things he may have great difficulty in bringing off.

Job for instance....how does he propose to bring back manufacturing jobs to America, a country that has no minimum wage laws ?

He promised to stop all climate change improvements that have already been made.

He has also promised to end support for National Public Radio. When I have made my many journeys across the country, it was NPR that provided the much needed alternative to wall-to-wall country music, and endless repeats of "Hotel California"
Given the bad press he's had outside the US and on here I wish him well.
DT will come under the microscope extremely closely. His every word, expression and actions will be pulled apart vigorously.

He will have to prepare his scripts very carefully. His opening speech is crucial. Promising unity is just unrealistic, it's just not going to happen. Promising change is also divisive. Whilst he will certainly ruffle some feathers for the betterment of the population, in other areas it will be spot the lead balloons.

Of course, the big issues of the day will be those that he will primarily be judged on. If he gets those right his popularity and respect will be enhanced. It's a big 'if' but he has a mandate and must be allowed the time to create the necessary changes that will see the US flourish.

He has performed a miracle to get this far so we rule him out at our peril.
Slightly off track. But is milania a ,Stepford. wife "?
I think he deserves a chance to prove himself as a good leader and he may well do that. He's certainly a successful businessman.
Thank you naomi.
