Let us hope that from this excellent CCTV footage, this killer can soon be apprehended.

I don't see what additional law(s)can be brought in .

It is against the law to carry a knife on your person , isn't it ?

And yes , i hope he is caught and dealt with , as soon as possible
We could have a law that made all coloureds use a different bus. I'm sure that has worked in other places :-)

Perhaps they could think about fitting electronic scanners on entrances to buses and trains?

Make it a longer sentence if found carrying a knife and a full life sentence if one killed anyone with such a knife?

And maybe not being made to feel in the wrong by carrying out more stop and searches?
Scanners on buses and trains...great idea, the commuters in London will love that!!
// We could have a law that made all coloureds use a different bus. I'm sure that has worked in other places :-)//

Oh I thought of banning buses....

[ my bank had too many people outside queuing for the ATM - looks like crip service so they ...... closed the ATM]
License handguns for concealed carry....
// Make it a longer sentence if found carrying a knife and a full life sentence if one killed anyone with such a knife? //

because it fills the prisons with non-criminals

and in public by the way
you are allowed to carry a kitchen knife around your kitchen

Todays papers are full of reports of civil servants recycling crip ideas which have been tried and did not work - but doing it All Again twenty years later
This is another one
are the police in breach of the data protection act by publishing this? or have they infringed the individuals' human rights under article 8?
Don't body scanners use radiation .

If i was a regular coach/ bus / train user , i would be somewhat concerned about the number of times i was being scanned
I don't know why knife killers should get longer sentences than ordinary wife poisoners, garrotters and Machine Gun Kelly.
And people will be queuing like they do in airports. Imagine the mayhem in busy cities...
I think ordinary metal detectors as used in airports are safe enough, Bazile. A bit of a nuisance having to take off your belt and your shoes every time you hop on the bus, I suppose, but I'm sure the travelling public would be right brhind it.
OK the scanner on the bus goes off as someone enters.
There are no conductors, so is the driver supposed to go and then search the individual?
It turns out not to be a knife, but his keys, or his phone, or his wallet. Multiply that by everyone getting on the bus, and journey will take hours instead of minute.
An unworkable suggestion by someone who has not used a bus for a long time, if ever.

Perhaps not thought through the electric scanner fully perhaps, so why not have all knives to contain some kind of chip, so they cause an alarm to go off when passing through something like a supermarket anti theft barrier?

Please, less of the ridicule and some ideas please.

What new law do you want AOG ?
"Please, less of the ridicule and some ideas please. "

You are not making that very easy.
AOG....this is yet another ill-thought post by you !
AOG - all the millions of people that use public transport daily I don't think anything can be done.

Not so just that some are incapable of entering into a debate while at the same time using their brains to consider a solution, without this constant need to make rude and personal remarks such as yours.

If you can't join in civilly, then don't bother to join in at all.
'so why not have all knives to contain some kind of chip, so they cause an alarm to go off '

yeah right. What about all the existing knives? If someone is intent on carrying a weapon they will fashion one themselves or simply use a kitchen one.
