So are there marches in the street to protest against this brutality (Indonesia this time)?
The silence is deafening.

So Gary Lineker has the temerity to have an opinion and Tweet about it, so is now on your hit list.
Why do you want to silence him? If he does tweet about a punishment in Indonesia, will you be happy? Will he redeemed himself in your eyes if he does.
Lineker is primarily interested in British values being used to help refugees who are in need. He is not bothered about the politics he just thinks we should help the less fortunate.

Famous people sometimes speak out on world news if it is something the feel strongly about - and because they are famous, there is often a microphone and / or a camera pointed at them when they do so.
That does not automatically turn them into full-scale cause supporters, or spokespersons for a generation.
They are not required to turn out for every event that concerns something they mentioned once upon a time, but because they are famous, people somehow feel they are more obligated than the rest of us to back up what they have said with some level of action.
It's not reasonable, which is probably why it doesn't happen.
So the silence is not 'deafening' - they simply have busy lives, like the rest of us.

Linekar and Allen took to the streets not just tweets. And yes they are perfectly entitled to do so but why do they only want to bash Mr Trump, where is their condemnation of this barbaric behavour - actually taking place not just bavado.
Do I want to silence him? Where on earth did you get that from?
Yes mamy more links to another post proving what, apart from the usual scoff scoff snort at me?

/// Funny how ABers who are normally fervent proponents of corporal and capital punishment suddenly become all prissy when a muslim country do it. ///
I don't think, or indeed I hope not, any of our ABers are in favour of lashing women in such a brutal way, no matter of what colour or creed they are.

I totally 100% agree with you aog. Trump comes into power and do-gooders moan about him via tweets and take to the streets to march against him and yet all these atrocities such as the one mentioned above have been going on for a very long time, but where are the marches against those atrocities - these do-gooders need to get their priorities right ...!
