so my life just gets better! today after 6 years in my house my estate agent handed me a section 21 i have till 14th april to move out as landlord is selling up, iv never missed a rent payment! i have 2 children aged 5 and 8 and i'm so worried i don't want them uprooted here there and everywhere all i keep doing is crying coz i can't think of anything! i cannot afford to private rent again i honestly cannot afford it and have already looked at the councils list that accept housing benefit etc (i work but get a slight top up) so basically i'm screwed, been told not to go on the 14th april and to wait till i have a baliff possession order....but my tenency actually ends on 20th april so if i stay beyond this will this have an affect? i'm honestly so lost...i'm scared for me and the boys can't eat sleep concentrate or anything xx

Perhaps you need to go and talk to the housing department and explain your situation.
this should be in Law where your other question is

so long as the s 21 has been correctly served ( almost certainly 'yes' ) then possession will granted

the only thing is when

you should go down to the CAB and ask them to help you draft a defence that would say you and the children would suffer hardship under the accelerated procedure

The judge may or may not set a hearing date

if he does turn up to the hearing and plead hardship again

he wont call it all off but he can delay for six weeks

Contact your local council and say you are going to be made homeless
today - they wont do anything until you are made homeless
