Also, if the women (as well as the children) are in danger from traffickers - the full force of the French judicial system should be brought down on the traffickers. At this point, it's not the responsibility of the UK.

Why, we're not part of thr stupid Schengen Agreement which allowed them in to France in the first place, it is nothing to do with us.
If the women and men were kept separate, who would provide those crying newborns, those which are put before our eyes, so as to tug on our heart strings?
