Sqad....I am not that familiar with Stephen Kinnock. But I am much more familiar with Alan Johnson, and Hilary Benn, amongst others.
Politics is always a long game and anybody who is writing off the Labour Party here 2017 is plain wrong ( not you ! )

However my old china mikey is correct the Tories will run out of steam and be replaced at some point but history has shown that whatever party does it will have to basically become the Tories.I think Labour will dissolve in the next few years, get slaughtered in 2020 and then they'll have to re hash themselves probably won't have a chance to get in till 2030.
I think 'finishing the job' means restoring Labour to it's core socialist principles and ejecting the Blairite weasels and fifth columnists.
The fact that this will make Labour forever unelectable is of no concern to him, that much is clear.
He doesn't want to be Prime Minister. He is happy to be the adored (by party members only) leader of what will effectively be just a large pressure and protest group.
Meanwhile back in the real world of ordinary working people outside the Westminster bubble, too busy just trying to pay the bills and stay healthy to indulge in political power struggles, game playing and placard waving this is all quite disappointing.
We would like to see some kind of credible opposition in place rather than bunch of hapless self serving amateurs.
