Its official now then....as Humphrys said, if Farage doesn't want these titles, then they won't offer one anyway.

I am so glad he has cleared that misunderstanding up !

To me he is a real hero and will always be Sir Nigel in my mind.
Like he was gonna get one......snigger.

Humphrys asked him if he was going too go and work for Trump !

I think Our John missed a question there....what he should have asked him was, when he was going to become UKIP Leader again ?
No the liberal elite he exposed would and never will give him one.

However he is the one who will be in the history books not all the grey men around him.
I suspect if he was offered one that it would be accepted.

After all, Lord Prescott of Kingston-Upon-Hull accepted one despite have previously suggested he would refuse to accept a peerage as he was against “...too much flunkery and titles”.

If Farage was offered one, and yet refused, he would be demonstrating more integrity than Prescott.
"To me he is a real hero and will always be Sir Nigel in my mind. "

Is that not a bit, er, liberal and elitist of you ?!
He must remain plain Mr Nigel, man of the people.
I dont get either. Certainly not liberal and as for elitist why can I not hold a view in my mind?

Or are you liberal elite now the thought police too?
Surely if you think admire him and think he should be "Sir" then you believe that "Sir" is better than plain "mister", that's all :-)
"Or are you liberal elite now the thought police too? "

Can I not hold a view in my own mind?
Or are you the thought police really
We could go on like this all day :-)
Well he's probably thinking of the clear up costs of all that organic Tibetan peace porridge. He's a more deserving case than most though, his choice.
ymb at 13:14 same here.
// Well he's probably thinking of the clear up costs of all that organic Tibetan peace porridge.//

I've been on the throne all ruddy morning - too many dates on top of a curry.

I can guess why he doesn't want a peerage, soon the House of Lords will be abolished and it will be him leading the charge if they derail Brexit.
'He may want one, he may not, but the link doesn't even pretend to answer that question.'

From the article:
'He said he did not want a seat in the House of Lords....'

?
I don't suppose he would have wanted to be UK ambassador to the US, either
Oh he so wants a knighthood. !!!!!!!!!:-)
