I too am astounded by the number of posts that have been removed.
But regarding your "trust me they weren't actually relevant to today's security alert"
Neither were the posts regarding the IRA and since they had nothing at all to do with yesterday's security alert, it is those that should have been removed, or better still the whole thread removed, because my "breaking news" thread has been completely ruined.
I agree Mam, thankfully it was a false alarm, but always best to err on the side of caution.
