Without wishing to derail the derailing that is already going on...... Isn't it inevitable that UKIP will start to disintegrate? They are, primarily, a single-issue pressure group, and once we actually leave the EU their whole reason for existance will have evaporated. They can use the time between now and then to try to re-invent themselves as a genuine...

And labour was formed to fight to take the working man out of poverty, which has pretty much happened. Perhaps that is why they too are having issues as they need to reinvent themselves but can't make their mind up whether to champion the immigrant, the benefit claimant or the liberal elite.

The reason that I posted this is two-fold.

One to have a good laugh about the shambles that is, and always has been UKIP.

The second is demonstrate to a few posters on here, that keep telling me that UKIP is the Party of the People in waiting, when they are, in reality, nothing of the sorts.

I am also continually being told Labour is over and finished, when they have well over 200 MPs and UKIP has.....well, just the 1.

By the way, we have a name for the Tories here in Wales, but its not Y Ceidwadwyr Cymreig.
Working class people need a party to represent them.
Well, at least UKIP has never been accused of being anti-Semitic, which is a lot more than can be said for the Labour Party.
Question Author
Sam....do you really think that UKIP, with its shambles of ex-Tories are the party to represent the working people ?

If they are, why have they been entirely unable to gain and retain a seat at an Election, or a by-Election, with the exception of the much liked Douglas Carswell ?
They're more attuned to the needs of the working classes than the Labour Party have been for the last 30 years, mikey.
Question Author
Sam.....So why did UKIP lose both recent by-Elections.....both constituencies were termed "working class" ?

The reality that UKIP are rather like vegetarianism....it sometimes excites but rarely persuades.
//Fair enough then if you, mikey and others are right about UKIP, then you all have nothing to worry about.

So why are they forever in your minds? //

Can't speak for anyone else but:

I'm not worried. At all.

I hate to disappoint you, but UKIP are very rarely on my mind, I was contributing to a post about them.

Hope that clears things up for you.
//Well, at least UKIP has never been accused of being anti-Semitic, which is a lot more than can be said for the Labour Party. //

That should be UKIP's strapline - it's catchy and would look real good on their campaign bus.
