Of all the bits I have read about another Scottish independence referendum has said the Scott's are not interested in another referendum but this BBC link seems to be saying that people thinkindependence is a possibility is at its highest.

One day yes another day no.
Aside my views on independence I think they should wait for at least three years after Brexit has happened. They don't actually know which side their toast is best buttered just yet and a little patience goes a long way.

Based upon the views of the Scots I know, it seems likely that, at the time of the last referendum, the vast majority (well over 90%) would have answered 'Yes' to the question "Would you like Scotland to be an independent nation?" but that (as shown in the referendum result) only a minority would have answered 'Yes' to the question "Do you believe that it's actually possible for Scotland to thrive as an independent nation?"

Opinion polls differ as the popularity of independence at this time.
Most suggest a majority don't want one a referendum soon.
It would be a mistake to assume that Scotland's desire for independence is joined at the hip to wanting to stay in the EU: it is not. And that's not good news for unionists, who's argument that Scotland would have to leave the EU anyway and rejoin and it might take years etc is not necessarily going to cause too much alarm with many.

//it's about choosing our own direction/ future//
Haha by handing said choices over to Brussels......What it is about is not having England have any influence in the direction or meaning of the future. In which case let England also vote in the referendum. There would be no need for another, Scotland would be out. But Scotland wouldn't be in The pyramid scheme either, Spain would see to that, and the Shetlands may fancy their own referendum which would of course be encouraged by.............England. :))

Give the rest of the UK a vote on it and Scotland will be gone by lunchtime.
Enough of the whining it is damaging both countries, time to float Scotland off.
Seems from the News today though the wee lass wont be seeking to join the EU (Probably because it has finally sunk in she cant)
It's not just the Spanish objection that is the problem. To join the EU they wold have to adopt the EURO and Scotland is spending too much (by around 3 times) so would not qualify.
