Sex And Society

Does anyone wonder what is happening within society?
So many people nowadays do not value sex/have respect for themselves, like they possibly did years ago.
Is this possibly worse due to the increasing use of media (Facebook etc)
What's peoples thoughts?

22 - 48 BC Messalina, wife of the Roman emperor Claudius.... "One is the story of her all-night sex competition with a prostitute in Book X of Pliny the Elder's Natural History, according to which the competition lasted for 24 hours and Messalina won with a score of 25 partners." I don't see what social media have to do with it. People were having sex before Facebook, though I suppose it was less interesting when you couldn't take selfies every five minutes. If women didn't have as much sex 50 years ago it was more likely out of fear of becoming pregnant rather than self-respect.
jno - Theres been a few incidents happen recently where myself, and friends have had some bad experiences. I also travelled for sometime and I seen another world of just men and women, in hostels, sleeping together with one person one day, and another a next. Going from girl, hurting each girl in the process.
I'm probably old-fashioned. Sex, to me, is only worth anything inside a loving relationship (whether married or not). My body is private to me and belongs to me and I would never dream of photoing it and sharing it. My 1st husband once photographed me nude and I found the said photo during the last move and tore it up (whilst regretting the rather nice body I once had - 36/24/36 for anyone interested).
A little more reticence and decency seems attractive and, yes, I blame the internet. There is more to it than that though. The pendulum has swung too far i.m.o. and what was salacious, bordering pornographic, is justified as the norm. It isn't normal though and kids feel pressured. Probably not expressed myself as well as I could.

When I lost my virginity at 15 (in 1962) people were just as promiscuous, however it was well hidden.I don't think you can blame the social media,or TV or films.I knew in 1962 that some girls (and men) were waiting until they got married to heave sex,but there were far more having sex already. The 1960's really were "swinging" and anything went, and post WW2 morals went down the drain. If you read about he 18thC and 19thC it was just as bad then.Nothing changes,it is just thanks(?) to modern forms of communications that we are aware HOW MUCH it goes on now.Is this promiscuity a good or bad thing,I don't think it's for me to say.
