Countryfile On Bbc
a third of vets come from overseas, according to countryfile, they maintain it's because many of the British vets don't want to do some of these jobs. Surely these are highly qualified jobs, why should this be the case.?

as i already pointed out it was in part due to Brexit.
and that farmers are having to take on more foreign born workers because they say they can't get British born workers to do the jobs. One farmer did say that he would welcome British born workers, but they have to be trained? how much training does it take to work on a farm picking carrots.
Is it a case British born won't do these jobs or other reasons.?

I couldn't possibly say. But I do know that in my father's and grandfather's times, if work was available you had to do it or benefits (such that they were) were withdrawn. That is obviously not the case today.
I take your point about the gangmasters, db. But it seems people from abroad are quite willing to do the work, even with that system in place.
