I use cheques regularly, I do lots of Charity quizzes and only a few accept payment by electronic means and the days of sending coins has gone for me after having them opened and pinched.

in 3Ts fave economic area ( the EU that is !) there are in a year
a trillion commercial transactions mostly electronic and the peak of checkiness was a billion a year
( now much less - coupla million I think )
T³ I'd love to press a button instead of writing a cheque but as I have outlined often there is not that option - I could stop doing the hobby I love and supporting the charities but I don't plan to do that.

Speak for yourself. I use cheques all the time and will continue to do so as long as possible !
hmm mama
someone pressed a button and cloned me
and that makes me use cheques even more

whenever I wave my card at a thingey I think
who else is gonna spend on my card ?
I find it odd that many people refuse to accept payment by bank transfer as they'd have to give their account number and sort code to the payee - but happily send cheques that have both of these details plus name and signature.

TTT that is their choice, not mine, i would sooner pay by card, as long as they get paid it shouldn't really matter i suppose.
I cannot persuade Mrs Blenkinsop of Rawstenstall who is setting a quiz for the local Brownies to raise funds to give me her bank details if she doesn't want to.
