“none of us, not you, not I not anyone on this site is truly equipped to make a sensible objective determination about staying or leaving…”
You’re over-egging the pudding, kavalidir..
Nobody in the UK – including all the politicians, all their “expert” advisors, all the economists, bankers and analysts – are in such a position. They can give a reasoned assessment but that is all. “Experts” are notoriously bad at getting things wrong but they are probably no worse than any other group. It’s just that they are foolish enough to have their pontifications and predictions published for all to see. Many people who voted to leave (me included) did not do so because they expect any magical mixture of funds and Utopian lifestyle to follow our leaving. I don’t expect to see any significant financial gain (or loss) to follow in the short to medium term. I was certainly not among those whom you rather disparagingly refer to as “not very bright” who, so you say, were fooled into believing the NHS would be £350m a day better off.
I took my decision because I believe the nation’s sovereignty and integrity are more important than money. If, as you suggest (though I considerably doubt) that many of the country’s “bright young things” decamp to Europe that is their privilege. When they consider their move they may like to wonder why it is that almost every nation in the Eurozone (bar Germany) is suffering severe financial hardship and why unemployment among the young in some of those nations is around 50%. They may also like to consider what the EU will look like in ten years time (if it exists at all).
Just out of interest, what industry are you in that is already seeing the beginnings of decimation as a result of Brexit? Despite my inward looking, right wing, Nationalistic perceived ignorance I have quite a few facts and figures at my fingertips and I my be able to help you determine whether what you believe is actually true or if you have simply fallen for some propaganda put about within your industry.
