Pepsi has swallowed ( yes pun intended ) the criticism over their ad where a white girl gives a pepsi to a policeman - also white -
and defuses a racial situation

as woofgang says, white wedding dresses are comparatively recent. And they didn't symbolise purity, they symbolised wealth: fancy white dresses were impossible to clean so they showed you could afford a dress that you'd only wear once.

As to the OP, what a load of nonsense. At worst, the ad's tagline was meaningless. It's meant to convince people that the deodorant can't be detected on black or white clothing, but I can't see why the advertisers chose that phrase.
