to let 16, 17 year old have the vote, this was from a

but as pointed out they have a vested interest in their future. Had 16, 17 old's been allowed the EU referendum vote, i reckon we would have stayed in.

Never a good idea to give kiddies a vote in parliamentary elections. The idea is as insane as the individuals who keep suggesting it.

Ummmm is right , some may not be a tiny bit interested in politics or voting but others are very keen and would.

But you can't leave school. I can't see any justification for allowing schoolchildren the vote. Anyway, it's unfair on the rest of us to have the polls skewed by a bunch of people that still know everything.

the teens I met were very vocal about Brexit
especially the bit about oldies voting only in their narrow self- interest

oldies taking a short term view of a longterm issue .....

(my fambly was not alone in fact in asking the young'uns how we should vote and then going out and block-voting. It didnt work)

in 1979 we had a youngest muvver contest
and I was the loser at 14 1/2
lots of colleagues had mid-thirteens which meant they (les gurlz that is) had to have been 'at it' at twelve.

That's quite new though, NJ. My 2 older kids left school at 16. The youngest had to stay on until 18 and is still there. I would have gave him the vote at 16...but not the other two.
