In support of Mikey, and I can't say I know much about the yoof of today, but as a group, and during my lifetime, girls/women were/are obsessed by fashion, peer pressure I guess, whilst most boys/men were blasé about it. Maybe work clothes/suits for high fliers excepted. Of course there will be individuals who buck the trend but it's just not a masculine subject/interest, or hasn't been since after the days of the cavaliers.
