No it doesnt. What I said would happen has happened. Someone else has taken over and it has not been pushed under the carpet as you and the anti-Trump brigade howled.

But Trump could have ordered this enquiry, but for reasons known only to him, he chose not to.

The noose is tightening !
Oooo .... how exciting! Out with your knitting needles, Mikey!!
Only in your mind.

To date all accusations against The Donald have proved fruitless. As it stands we will soon be into "the boy who cried wolf" territory so when he does make a slip it will be buried among a shed load of desperate accusations.
I think the point surely is the Trump, if he DID sack Comey with that in mind, was probably not really thinking straight.
As long as this rumbles on it is only doing Trump damage.
And Putin, quite literally, laughs. It is easy for him though: a few bullets does the trick there.
Another day in the white house,,,,, soon be tweeting time for Trump.
The point here is that Trump DID NOT choose the candidate!
In fact Trump was not even informed of the choice until after the event!

Muller has a reputation as being 'Tough' !
I am not saying this is what happened but it is not hard to imagine:
Trump says to Comey:
"Can we drop this"
Comey:
"Not really Mr President"
Trump's brain goes into "bad dude treats me terribly. Out you go"
Without thinking of the consequences.
It could have happened like that :-)

jesus I should read your musings more carefully...
where did you say a DAG ( deputy attorney general who was a Trump appointee ) would appoint a special prosecutor

missed that gem from you completely - sozza - 2le sozza

Trump has been very keen to close off the inquiry on Flynn
Trump also demands an 'oath of loyalty' from his appointees - that is 'are you my man or not?'. and they are outta the door if the answer is no
and Rosentein ( erm the DAG that is!) is a Trump appointee so I am astounded he went on to appoint a special prosecutor especially as he was the one who drafted the ;get rid of Comey' memo

YMF whow clever of you to realise that
'comey you gonna close this Flynn thing' from trump did in fact mean " Rosie you gonna appoint an independent special prosecutor to screw me?"
just in passing do you have any tips for the UK stock market ?

clickeety clack with my knitting needles
( not good at purling - can you help out Nigh ?
o god and casting off - not good at all )

the thing is apparently is that there is now a spanner in the law works ( or how it doesnt) - which wouldnt occur here as we dont have a fed govt. a sortta hierarchy or order in investigations....
