the US will scramble to try to extradite him I imagine and he'll hot foot it off to Ecuador befpre they can do so.

Since the police still hold a warrant for his arrest for not appearing in court back in 2012, I should imagine they will arrest him as soon as he leaves the embassy.

That is what I was thinking, so will he leave? Seems it doesn't really make much difference, he is still a wanted man.

he skipped bail and there is an arrest warrant out for him

and the Americans want him and are planning a thirty year stretch for him

Assange is a desperate fraud. He's hidden behind the threat of extradition to the US claiming that Sweden would extradite him. Whereas its much more likely that the UK would. I'm not sure what law in the US he has broken. Chelsea Manning did the actual leaking.The US attorney general recently mentioned extradition but I'm not sure they know what they're doing. Scuttling off to Ecuador seems more likely where he can continue his current dubious role. Of course as aog says he's still wanted in the UK on a lesser charge but surely the time has come to see him off the premises. Or at least end rather than merely scale down the surveillance. The surveillance that keeps him in the embassy anyway. At the moment it's just givimg him an unwarranted rile as some sort of martyr hero

We, the UK, should certainly not just let him off for jumping bail in 2012. I'd be perfectly happy if that case were to take long enough in court for the USA to have time to ask US for his extradition, as he pretended they would ask Sweden if he ever got there!
The man is an utter narcissist and fantasist!
