If the best labour can do is Abbot, thornbury or bailey - whatever her name is, yet is content to let the likes of Yvette rot on the backbenchs I say good riddance
Rudd is notorious among civil servants for making decisions without bothering to read the appropriate files. She's also incredibly inexperienced - she's been an MP for a remarkably short period of time and really has no impressive record to speak of.
Diane Abbot meanwhile.... (sigh). I truly wish Corbyn's party would have at least tried to co operate with him. That way he would have had some other options than this cannonball around his neck who just seems to cock up every media appearance she makes.
I actually think that Mrs May not attending tonight's debate was a BIG mistake. Her substitute made a complete hash of it and Corbyn looked quite at ease against her.
As a Conservative voter I'm disgusted that May didn't feel it necessary to attend. Terribly complacent message to send out. I think the elections will be a big wake up for the tories.
Zacs > I think the elections will be a big wake up for the tories.
Indeed. It should never have come to this.
Having called an election, the Tories have made really heavy weather of it. The only thing to have feared was fear itself. Instead, they have dropped a few of their own banana skins and tripped over them whilst trying to pick them up!
This was a golden opportunity for Mrs May to cement her position but instead she has left the door tantalisingly ajar.
Zacs-Master, Crikey! That's a bit dramatic! Why? Because she didn't debate with the also-rans? She wasn't the only party leader who didn't attend, and quite honestly I can't say I blame her.
