money forrest corbyn belongs in the 70's when as they said the strike is solid... as for diane abbott words fail me, is it a protest vote and or happy migrants.

I agree it was disastrous for TM, but I trust her far more than I would ever trust JC. And don't get me started on DA or the other man who has kept remarkably quiet - the one TM referred to as a Marxist. The Unions were remarkably quiet too, didn't you think? If the question is about "why vote Labour", I've written plenty on AB before but I'll try and sketch an answer out as briefly as possible.

First, the against:

Not super convinced. Most of his policies were govt policy in this country until very recently or are implemented perfectly effectively elsewhere.

Specious at best.

Again, I don't care. I don't think our nuclear policy makes any sense - in the case of a nuclear war it renders us a target but we don't have sufficient quantity of missiles to sufficiently deter any of the other major nuclear powers. So it's the worst of both worlds and benefits the USA far more than it benefits us.

Why would I vote Labour then? In a nutshell:

- The present government has an abusive and inhumane set of policies towards disabled people which I would like to stop as it directly affects people I know and it wasn't like this in 2010.
- I agree with some (and only some) of their policies.
- I don't like the government's authoritarian attitude to the internet, or their promise to scrap human rights.
- I prefer Keir Starmer to David Davis, and think Corbyn is less easily provoked than May. If we have to do Brexit, I'd prefer it was them.

That's it, as briefly as I can put it. Sorry if it sounds "deluded" but I have really stopped caring.

Fair enough Clover, perhaps it was the political (as well as physical) fatigue talking. I just think the arguments about the IRA/Hamas have been raked over so often that I find it difficult to feel anything at all about them. I don't particularly like Corbyn's record on the IRA but I cannot seriously see him damaging the peace there if he got in so it just looks irrelevant. Likewise with Hamas, I find it very hard to feel invested in the Israel/Palestine dispute or to imagine a theoretical Prime Minister Corbyn having any influence over it, and so an edgelord opinion about Hamas just doesn't bother me that much.
